Console commands

Every console command and what it does.

Open the console with F3. The host turns it on in Settings ▸ Gameplay ▸ Enable Console; other players can use it once the host gives them access with op.

<value> is needed, [value] can be left out. ; runs several commands in a row.

General

CommandDoes
alias [name] [commands]Makes a new command from others. alias day "sky.time 12; sky.weather clear"
bind [key] [commands]Runs commands when a key is pressed (console closed). bind F9 "sky.weather rain"
bring <player name | all>Brings a player (or everyone with 'bring all') to you (host only).
cancelCancels commands that are waiting ('wait').
clearClears the console.
copyCopies the console text to the clipboard.
echo [text]Prints text.
emote [emote | stop]Plays an emote (everyone sees it). Without one it lists them; 'stop' ends the one playing.
exec <file>Runs a command file (one command per line, // comments). Looks in the save folder and StreamingAssets/Console. 'autoexec' runs at startup.
find <text>Lists GameObjects whose name contains the text.
fly [on|off|toggle] [player name]Lets a player fly and takes off, or lands them (you without a name). Works in survival too; there, double-tapping Jump also works until 'fly off'. In creative mode flying is always allowed.
fpsShows or hides the frame rate on screen.
gcRuns the garbage collector and unloads unused assets.
help [group|command|search]Lists commands. 'help sky' lists one group, 'help sky.time' explains one command.
history [count|clear]Shows the last commands (or 'history clear').
load [profile] [force]Loads a saved game. Host only.
log <message>Writes a message to the game's log file (and the console).
memMemory use.
music [play|stop|resume] [track]Shows what the music is doing, or 'music play [track]', 'music stop', 'music resume'.
pos [player name]Where the player (or another player) and the camera are.
quitQuits the game.
reloadReloads the active scene.
save [profile] [force]Saves the game. Host only.
scene [name|index]Shows the open scenes, or loads a scene by name or build index.
scenesLists the scenes in the build.
screenshot [scale=1]Saves a screenshot (optionally 2-4x the resolution) to Pictures.
sysinfoHardware, Unity version and memory.
tickspeed [speed]Shows or sets the world's tick speed (host): how fast days, weather, crops, animals, crafting, cooking, research, torches and regrowth run. Players stay at normal speed. 1 = normal, 0 = frozen, 10 = ten times as fast.
tp <x y z | player name | object name | aim | up meters>Teleports the player to a position, another player, a GameObject, or where the crosshair points ('tp aim').
unalias <name>Removes an alias.
unbind <key|all>Removes a key bind ('unbind all' removes every one).
unwatch <label>Removes a watch ('unwatch all' removes every one).
wait <seconds>In a command line: waits before the rest runs. sky.weather rain; wait 10; sky.weather clear
watch [label] <command>Shows a command's output on screen, refreshed 4 times a second. watch time sky.time

animals

CommandDoes
animals.age <days>Ages every herd within 200 m by some days (young grow up, old ones may die).
animals.kill [radius]Kills the spawned animals within a radius (default 30 m).
animals.list [radius]Herds near you: id, distance, members, spawned or not.
animals.near [radius]What the spawned animals near you are doing.
animals.resetRemoves every animal and herd; the world gets stocked again as you explore.
animals.spawn <species> [family|male|<animal>]Spawns at the crosshair: a family, a lone male, or one animal by its name (for pigs: sow, boar, piglet, juvenile, old_sow, old_boar).
animals.statusWild animal population: herds, spawned animals, carcasses.
animals.tame <familiarity>Sets the familiarity (0-100) of the herds within 40 m (capped by their generation).
animals.trough <fruit|veggies|wheat|meat|empty|water> [level]Fills the nearest trough: fruit, veggies, wheat, meat or empty, level 1-3; 'water <0-3>' sets the nearest water trough's level.

birds

birds.clearRemoves every bird (new flocks come back around the players).
birds.spawn <species> [count]Spawns a flock at the crosshair (in the nearest tree when the species perches).
birds.statusBirds about now, by species and what they are doing, and the trees around you.

bp

CommandDoes
bp.listLists the recipes that need a blueprint and whether it has been found.
bp.lock <recipeId|all>Forgets a found blueprint again (host / offline; 'all' = every one).
bp.unlock <recipeId|all>Unlocks a recipe's blueprint for everyone ('all' = every one).

creative

creative [on|off|toggle] [player name | all]Creative mode: no damage or hunger, fly (double-tap Jump), build and craft for free. Without a state it toggles; without a name it's for you (host only).
creative.listLists the players in creative mode (host only).

effect

effect.add <effect> [seconds] [player name]Gives a player a status effect (you without a name; seconds default to the effect's).
effect.list [player name]Shows a player's status effects and their time left (yours without a name).
effect.remove <effect|all> [player name]Ends a player's status effect ('all' ends every one; you without a name).

fish

fish.clearRemoves every fish (new ones swim in again around the players).
fish.spawn <species> [count]Spawns a school in the water at the crosshair.
fish.statusFish swimming now, by species, and the water you are in or above.

go

go.active <name> [on|off]Turns a GameObject on or off (toggles without on/off).
go.destroy <name>Destroys a GameObject.
go.info <name>Shows a GameObject's position, components and children.

housing

housing.checkThe "For rent" home whose door or sign you look at, with what each NPC kind still needs.
housing.listEvery "For rent" sign: whether its rooms are a home, size, furniture, tenant.

inv

inv.clear [player name]Empties a player's inventory (yours without a name).
inv.craft <recipeId> [times=1]Crafts a recipe for the local player (uses the ingredients like the crafting panel).
inv.drop [slot] [count=1]Drops items from a slot (default: the held item).
inv.give <itemId> [count=1] [player name]Gives a player items (you without a name).
inv.info [player name]A player's id, network role and held item (yours without a name).
inv.items [filter]Lists every item, optionally filtered.
inv.list [player name]Shows a player's slots (yours without a name).
inv.money [player name]How much money (credit chips) a player has (yours without a name).
inv.money.give <credits> [player name]Gives a player credits as the fewest chips (you without a name).
inv.money.pay <credits> [player name]Takes credits from a player, giving change in chips (you without a name).
inv.recipes [filter]Lists the crafting recipes and whether you can craft them.
inv.select <slot>Selects a hotbar slot (1 = first).
inv.take <itemId> [count=1|all] [player name]Takes items from a player (you without a name).

mods

modsLists the installed mods: on/off, version, hash, problems.
mods.activeThe mods running now, in load order.
mods.declined [clear]Hosts' client-side mods you turned down; 'mods.declined clear' has hosts offer them again.

net

CommandDoes
net.kick <player name | clientId>Disconnects a player (host only).
net.playersLists the connected clients and their player objects.
net.shutdownLeaves the game (or stops hosting).
net.statusNetwork role, connected players, round trip time.

npc

CommandDoes
npc.bring <name>Moves a town NPC to the crosshair.
npc.listEvery town NPC: kind, distance and home.
npc.remove <name|all>Removes a town NPC (or all of them) for good.
npc.rosterEvery defined NPC: role, and whether it is in this world (housed, wandering) or not.
npc.spawn <npc>Brings a defined NPC (each exists once) to the crosshair. 'npc.roster' lists them.

op

deop <player name | clientId>Takes a player's console access away (also players who aren't here).
op <player name | clientId>Gives a player console access: they run commands on the host, as themselves. Saved with the world.
op.listLists the players with console access.

player

player.bagsLists the death bags in the world (host only).
player.damage <amount> [player name]Hurts a player (you without a name).
player.feed [amount] [player name]Feeds a player (fully without an amount; you without a name).
player.heal [amount] [player name]Heals a player (fully without an amount; you without a name).
player.health [value] [player name]Shows or sets a player's health (0 kills; you without a name).
player.hunger [value] [player name]Shows or sets a player's hunger (you without a name).
player.kill [player name]Kills a player (items drop in a death bag; you without a name).
player.listLists the players in the game and where they are ('tp <name>' goes to one).
player.respawn [player name]Respawns a dead player at their bed, else a random place (you without a name).
player.vitals [player name]Shows a player's health and hunger (yours without a name).

road

CommandDoes
road.build [type|off]Switches the road builder on with a road type (no item needed), or off. Left click sets points, clicking the last point again or Enter finishes, right click takes a point back. Points on a road join it.
road.clearRemoves every road players built (world roads stay).
road.list [radius|all]Lists the roads near you (or all).
road.remove [id]Removes a road players built: the one with that id, or the nearest one within 10 m of you. World roads stay.
road.typesLists the road types.

season

season [spring|summer|autumn|winter] [day]Shows the season, or jumps to the start (or a day) of one: 'season autumn', 'season winter 4'.
season.length [days]Shows or sets the days in each season (host).

settings

settings.list [filter]Lists the player settings and their values.
settings.resetPuts every setting back to its default (keeps the resolution).
settings.set <setting> [value]Shows or changes a setting; it is applied and saved like in the settings menu.

sky

sky.advance <hours>Moves the clock forward by some hours (like sleeping).
sky.daylength [dayMinutes] [nightMinutes]Real minutes for the day (6-18) and the night (18-6).
sky.flow [on|off]Turns the running clock on or off.
sky.lightning [aim|here]Lightning strikes where the crosshair points (or 'here' at the player). Only on this machine.
sky.random [on|off]Turns the random weather cycle on or off.
sky.statusClock, weather and what the sky is doing right now.
sky.time [hours|hh:mm]Shows or sets the time of day: 'sky.time 13.5' or 'sky.time 13:30'.
sky.weather [preset] [seconds=-1] [holdHours=-1]Shows or changes the weather. 'sky.weather rain 0' changes at once; a third number holds it (hours).
sky.weathersLists the weather presets.

structure

structure.deselectClears the box to save.
structure.listLists the saved structures.
structure.load <name> [here]Pastes a saved structure back into the world as real blocks and objects (to keep working on it), where it was saved, or with 'here' on the spot you look at. Cells that hold a block already are left alone.
structure.pos1 [x y z]Sets the first corner of the box to save: the block you look at (or a position).
structure.pos2 [x y z]Sets the second corner of the box to save: the block you look at (or a position).
structure.save <name> [radius]Saves what was built in the selected box (blocks, bodies, placed objects) as a structure, with where it stands. With a radius: a box reaching that far from you instead. Same name = replaced.
structure.select <radius>Selects a box reaching <radius> m from you in every direction.

tax

tax.paydayEvery tenant goes and pays its tax again (in working hours, 8-17), even if it paid today (host).
tax.statusWhat each tax box holds and which tenants pay into which box (and how much a day).

temperature

temperatureShows your temperature: what you feel, your body, wetness and your clothes' warmth.
temperature.set <°C>Sets your body temperature, °C (37 = normal, below 36 cold, below 34.5 freezing).

terrain

terrain.at [x z]Ground height, biome and water at the player, or at x z.
terrain.dig [radius=1.5] [force]Digs a sphere where the crosshair points. 'force' ignores trees and water.
terrain.fill [radius=1.5] [material] [force]Fills a sphere where the crosshair points (material: the one hit, or a name / id).
terrain.freezelod [on|off]Stops the level of detail from following the camera.
terrain.groundPuts the player back on the ground above (or below) where they stand.
terrain.hitWhat the crosshair points at: position, material, biome, water, edited or not.
terrain.materialsLists the terrain materials (id, name, drop item, hardness).
terrain.modifiedHow many chunks were dug or built (these are what saves store).
terrain.paint <material> [radius=1.5]Changes the material where the crosshair points.
terrain.rebuildRebuilds every terrain mesh.
terrain.regrowRegrows now everything waiting to (picked berry bushes). Host or offline only.
terrain.revertallUndoes every dig and build (offline only; saves are not touched until you save).
